Hi Diddly Ho Racing Ears,

Get those ear plugs ready again.  NOT!!  This journal-cast highlights the Group 8 USRRC and Can Am at the 2016 Rolex Pre Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.  This was a fabulous group to watch and to hear during the weekend of August 13th and 14th of 2016.  I really enjoy these fantastic Can Am cars from the late 60’s and early 70’s.  The grunting sounds that these cars make is unlike any other grunting sound that is in the paddock at these historic races.

Anyway, this journal cast features a few encounters I had with Eric Haga, an original Formula 5000 and Can Am driver from the era who drove his Hollywood #55 1965 McLaren Mark 1A, and also Duncan MacKellar from Australia who drove the #29 yellow McLaren M8E.  I sure did appreciate meeting up and chatting with those two chaps.

I regretfully didn’t get any footage from the turn 11 area in this journal-cast but I did get some footage from the Andretti Hairpin and also the mightily famous “Corkscrew” during the Sunday afternoon race.
