Here is some great footage from Saturday at the annual get together in Napa Valley at Sonoma Raceway on October 5th 2019. I have been attending this event since 2014 and it always hits my sentimental sweet spot to see historic sports racing cars in their native habitat.
The CSRG or Classic Sports Racing Group holds events at both Sonoma Raceway and at Thunder Hill Raceway Park in both the spring and in the fall. The events at Sonoma Raceway allow drivers to participate without noise restrictions while at Thunder Hill noise restrictions are in full effect.
The Charity Challenge portion of this weekend is geared to allow fans access to living their racing dreams of riding in a fully authentic racing car at full chat for 3 laps around Sonoma Raceway, all to benefit Speedway Children’s Charities. Passenger participants can donate for a ride in a historic NASCAR, or in a classic Lola Can Am racer, a Porsche 914-6 racer, a Jaguar E Type Coupe, or in an historic Alfa Romeo, to name a few. Each category of race car is valued to different levels of adrenaline rushes.
Thank you for visiting The Racing Ear and I hope to bump into anyone who appreciates and enjoys these videos. Making these racing videos is one of my passions.
