Hello. My name is Trent Barr. I am the founder of The Racing Ear.
I am a huge historic / vintage auto racing fan. I live in Northern California. Predominantly I love historic sports car racing. This website, blog, and journal-cast is devoted to sharing race car sounds with the world. I am a beginner in terms of audio editing, recording, getting and using the correct equipment properly. I love race cars and I am interested in people who are in the realm of racing. Old cool machines that sound brilliant spark my interest as well. I may end up putting stuff on this site that is not just related to race cars, but for now it is for keeping the 5 speed manual transmission alive and well.
